Fish Food

I scavenged twice yesterday and found nothing both times, I’m not having much luck finding a damn thing so decided to head to ATC to buy some supplies.  It’s not all that far away from AEGIS and heard they sell fish, so was glad for the slight change in my diet.  The woman that served me in ATC was nice and helpful, the smell of fish took me back to being young and going down to buy fresh fish from the market near the pier not long after the fishing boats had come in and off-loaded their catch. When I got back and cooked the fish a little to re-heat it, it was delicious, just needed a bit of lemon or some potatoes to make some fries to go with it but I enjoyed it, and it filled a gap for the day.

My nightmares are not as frequent since I returned to AEGIS, I’ve pieced together most of what happened, and will tell our Commander, Claire, as much as I can remember,  Better people understand what happened so know I may still be a little… well not every day you almost die after being shot multiple times.  I could be.. I am still angry about it, but my anger isn’t just aimed at those who attacked me but at myself for sticking to my morals and not doing what every fibre of my body was telling me to do, to kill them first, to take it out away from where the Watchmen could see and cleanse this island of these criminal scum.  But I won’t, I am part of a team, and I won’t jeopardize that by settling scores, I will follow orders and do what is best for the people of Arklay because ultimately it is them and their welfare, not the criminals, that I should be concerned with.

I still think of the mainland, of returning, doing a supply run to see if there is anything I can find out about possible supply cashes that I could report back with to help people here, but I am in two minds still, the danger worries me, even after everything I still have a contract on me, potentially, plus the threat of raiders and of course the zombie threat to contend with but then I feel like I should do something more.
