Town of Arklay:

Our city is growing. Everyday we see more and more people coming to our island. This is a great thing! A higher population means a wider variety of skills for our thriving community, more hands to help us grow.

But this has also resulted in a community with greater needs that are not limited to law and order and security. Sadly, not everyone that comes to join us does so with good intentions or with a vision to live in a safe, progressive, community. With the establishment of the Keepers and the Town Ordinances, we also have a need to oversee those ordinances and the people who enforce them, and to centralize the way we receive information and deal with and meet our citizen's needs.

The remaining council members (Kali Karas, Dr. Kay, and Captain Tah) recognize this need, and just like the initial council, recognize that in order to be successful this must be a community effort. In the past the council seats were open to anyone who owned a business in town. This resulted in crowded meetings with many voices and sadly, little results.

In light of this, and in an attempt to revive the Arklay Town Council, with a cleaner, more simplified, process, the remaining members of the Council have decided to hold an election for two (2) Council Seats, with council members nominated and elected by the people of Arklay.

Council members have a duty to the town of Arklay, they serve as a go-to person for issues or suggestions within the community, someone to bring these issues, concerns and suggestions to the Council table and vote on those issues.

The Nominees/aspiring Council Members must meet the following requirements:

1. Have never been convicted of disobeying a Town Ordinance.
2. Have lived on the Island of Arklay for at least a month prior to nomination.
3. Must be a business owner or an actively working manager of a business within the town limits of Arklay, with the business owner serving as a character witness.
4. Must have a desire to fulfill their duties and responsibilities to the town of Arklay, to envision and ensure its progress, and actively work towards that vision.

*Nominees who do not meet this requirement will not be considered.
