                                                                                  “Streeeetch!”

[Day 1: Arrival @ Arklay – The following was written by Clara ‘The Unenlightened’ Oswin about her day & arrival.]

Date: April 26th, 2017
Case No.: 06281988
Patient: Doe, Jane

The trees have begun to sprout buds again, misty rains flooding the land and washing away the stench of rotting corpses as the heavy, wet wind blows in from the beaches. Subject Doe appears to be doing well, thriving in this atmosphere in a way she has not since the break-out of the virus which scarred our beautiful world forever.

Interestingly, I believe the world to now look far more accurate to what it is. There are less lies to deal with.

Subject Doe has been fortunate enough to avoid contact with raiders and the more unsavory types freed by the break-out since arrival to the island, though one fears for the small family upon who’s ship she had hidden to get across the water. Hopefully they made it, but since subject Doe moved on quite quickly, the outcome of their story has not been confirmed.

Subject continues to present with mild dissociation tendencies and evidences some signs of fugue states, but has yet to fully diverge from reality. This is a good sign, so far, but we must be cautious in how she is handled at this juncture. A heavy handed effort now may cause her to flee again. In addition to this issue, she continues to complain of unendurable boredom and continues to persist with the delusional belief that she is immortal and immune to the virus, stating that her species is not susceptible to the diseases of the human race.

She has been very lucky so far, but will soon need to find shelter and more permanent means of sustaining herself if she intends to remain on the island.

She has, however, continued to maintain her activity routines and physical therapy regimens, as there has been no deterrent to doing so presented. Perhaps tomorrow we will upset her daily routine and see how she handles it, now that she has reached her destination.
