From the notebook of Serena Cole: Well, we managed not to run into any trouble our first day or two here. We spotted this hi-rise building called “The Eights” and went in since the woman standing in front of it looked like she wasn’t armed. Turns out that was a good move and we got ourselves a little place to live now. W e talked it over and decided the best way to make is to meet up with the other folks living here and see if they are interested in trying to work together to keep it livable and safe. WE meet some of the neighbors this morning, Shawn and Buffy, they seemed like nice people and I’m glad to get to know another woman here. It’s a start, which is what we need since things sure don’t look like they are gonna get better….very soon anyway.
