I agree there is a rash of people looking too perfect for the apocalypse. Not everyone has the ability to buy scars, dirt, etc. You can add details about your characters appearance to your Picks however (I would discourage putting too much info on a titler) and I would encourage everyone to make it a habit to read people’s Picks.

I think the four hour cooldown is perfect. I think people rely way too much on commodities. They are an enhancement to the roleplay, not a dictator and already people just see it as the end all be all. Moreover, surviving in the sim is not difficult in the slightest, there’s no reason to make things easier.
