Serena and I been together, what like, about I think 2 weeks. Smart girl, yeah smart, so latched onto her. Before I met Serena, I had thought I would head out of the city when it got bad, so took my pickup and all my tools from the job site, but well, it all got commandeered by some National Guard guys who claimed it was for the greater good. Right. Been through two groups already on the main land. First ones were so damn stupid they headed into a major city cause the government said it wanted to help them. Right, sure; I don’t go to gathering points. We parted ways. Saw them dead in a ditch about a week later. Don’t know what happened, but lesson learned. Hooked up with some guys but those hard drinking brothers were some crazy bastards and when they busted into a house and said they had a right to the woman inside the house, well, we had a disagreement that ended with the woman running out the back door and me beat up and the two guys cursing me. Guess I was lucky I survived — lesson learned. So yeah, I am with Serena. She is a sassy, outspoken, but smart, a real smart girl, a real resource and damn fine to look at, so I am claiming that. Yep, now we will see what the island is like. Has to be better right?
