I ain’t in charge! I don’t know how I ended up with folks asking me stuff at The Eights, but I keep saying I ain’t in charge, not the owner, ain’t the manager, just the maintenance guy. Met Shawn and Buffy, Gena, now Chance and some woman Mickey. See others going into The Eights, but who they are don’t know. If I got to work, they got to work, only right. Sure I am proud of my skills in construction, union certified, but seems nice folks kind keep asking me about things. Yeah you can rent here, but The Eights is a work to live philosophy. What are you going to do for us at The Eights? You know help out, greet people, share stuff, watch the fence and clean up. I showed some lost souls the empty rooms people been sharing. Sure some have claimed the apartments and all need to sign up to live at the eights – signs in the office. Live here, work here. Simple concept. I want to shore up the gaps in the fence make it safer. Want to clean up the pile of trash out front, but so much to do, got to get back to Shawn’s and fix Miss Buffy’s sink. Damn there I go again. I am NOT in charge here!
