Our second day in Arklay hasn’t been any easier. Sleeping in the woods, surround by trees where anything or anyone could pop out from behind them. Being in the world today is like feeling trapped, people unable to express their true selves but become wild animals, a mere speck of their former selves remains. Each for their own, dog eat dog, these are the metaphors that come to mind. No one in today’s world is truly full of heart, only to gain at other peoples losses. Guns and ammunition, money. Food and water, money. First aid and help, trade. Nothing comes free. Then again, did it ever in the world before?
Jet set out to find us a much safer place to rest an apartment complex to the south. I wish she’d woken me, she should know better than to wonder off by herself in unknown territory, though she has a toughness about her. My sister brought her up well. Even though she hasn’t said much since my poor turned and I put her down, she has a strong ambience about her. Yeah.. She’ll do fine.
