Still in Arklay, much to my own surprise. The people are cautious, but seem ok so far. I can’t blame them, so am I- I have yet to sleep in town, especially given my aversion to sleeping inside walls, which is something I grow more and more determined to work on. I’ve seen injured, but have yet to see any signs of rape gangs, so I guess it’s time for me to face my fears. Maybe I’ll start with the ruin just outside the town near the hospital- it’s falling down, so plenty of ways to escape and less likely to trigger a panic attack.

I am managing to work at the hospital as a nurse. It’s hard, as there are 3 floors, and the stairwell really brings back what happened at UKH, but so far I’ve managed not to lose it in front of anyone. When it was assumed I was a nurse, I decided to go with it. Easier to ease back into things.

Doing better with people, I have had several actual conversations one on one. It’s when there are more I start to freak. I think it’ll just take time, which seems to be my conclusion about a lot of things, and really pisses me off. I want to get my head straight NOW!

Oh, my glasses fell off a couple of days ago when an infected surprised me while I was rolling up my blanket. I stepped on the stupid things and snapped them. Was able to find tape to get them back together, and only cracked one lens in the corner, but it really sucked. I’d give a lot for a LensCrafters.

That’s about it- I’ve been managing to eat thanks to generous people letting me do chores, find clean water, and even moving camp every night, stay fairly dry thanks to the woods around here. I even found 2 tshirts and a long sleeved shirt, I’m a pair of spare jeans away from a wardrobe!
