I woke up and opened my bag grabbing a few bites of kibbles and a sip of water, put on my boots and ventured off to go scavenging. I managed to find some string, can of cat food I’ll sell later or feed to a cat if any are around and some canned soup. during my ventures around junk piles I avoided contact with strangers, although it seems much safer than the main land, I still feel like the air reaps of danger from living and the walking dead bastards. At least the dead things make good target practice.
Once I rummaged through junk and muck, god the muck is terrible here mixed with vile blood and innards and rain, there is so much rain in this god forsaken place. Though anyways continuing before my rant after getting all dirty I headed for the woods and cleaned myself up in one of ponds, somewhere hidden enough so no one would try to grab my stuff while I washed my clothes and body.
Once I got cleaned up I headed back towards the town sticking closely to the shadows and tracking the area for fresh prints. Problem with this Island I am likely to run into trouble with some of the locals who have ill intentions. As far as I am concerned I trust no one at this point but I keep a cheery personality around those who are seemingly nice.
As I get back into town it rains again go figures…I’m already tired of this rain and I’ve only been here for less than a week I believe. As I enter the bar I great Chuck or Charlie, whatever the hell his name is. Of course he just nods not saying a word and stands there with such a serious face. I hope they pay that guy well from what I’ve seen thus far he seldom moves from that spot.
I attempt to work and wait on customers and I dusted the tables and counters, they were gross. One thing I still can’t get used to is how dirty everything is now a days. I sure do miss hot showers and my bath and body works shower gel. One can only dream these days of first world benefits. So I wait and wait and one guy comes in with lots of walker blood so I offered him a towel. A few others came in one wished me happy Tuesday and I already forget her name, she was a sweet lady I believe she sells weed. Another young lady came in, said she lost her brother, I felt bad and tried giving her 1 water but she still paid me anyways.
My last customer was quite cheeky he asked for water so I exchanged the cash for his water and then he had some nerve to randomly ask me on a date. I turned him down, even though he was good looking but I don’t wish to bother with random dates. He probably just wanted to get in my pants anyways. Assuming is probably bad but oh well, was the first thing that came to mind. Followed by him I met my manager Kitty. She was very informative and nice I’m excited to work with her. I got to meet a new employee and the bearded man I saw yesterday applied to be a bouncer I believe.
After a day of working and such I really don’t know what to do with myself and I found out the bottles Marcus left with me for moonshine are to be poured into 3 servings and I’m not supposed to give out the bottles. Luckily I only sold one and now I have to ask the cheeky fellow for the bottle I gave him. Sigh, he’ll probably try to bargain with me…Oh well I suppose I’ll sneak around the shadows this evening and see what there is to do around this place.
