KayKay Stinesaid======================= IMPORTANT: The hospital is low on supplies RP as so - NO bulk medpack sales without leads permission! We are also low on staff so lets fix that. ROLES: AES is both hospital and shelter. We have roles available and some you can work your way too Everyone starts a a nurse when they join. However if you prefer to be shelter or security we can get you the appropriate tag. Doctor tags are not given out until someone shows they will put in the effort and hard work for AES, and ICly have the right qualifications. Sorry, no Doogie Howsers around here. If you are 20 and say you are a brain surgeon we will just think you are a bit nuts and refer you to psych! Kidding, maybe? We don't have official tags but we also have roles available for: orderlies, lab techs, receptionist, maintenance, and whatever else would fit. You nor your character has to have medical know-how to work for AES. ICly we will train you. CHARTS: Please send ALL charts to Lead doctor. This is done so we know what is going on in the hospital. If you are running out of time you can send a simple NC with the patients name, your name as treating nurse/doctor with a quick description of the RP. FOOD/WATER: Please purchase water from known vendors for personal use. Shelter staff please seek out RP for donation when the need arises. SCRUBS: It has come to my attention people do not like the supplied scrubs, and I personally liked having a uniform look as this was implemented before I became lead and wanted to continue. It was RPed that uniform places was raided so we have them, but as of now, if you have your own scrubs please feel free to wear them, if you do not we still have them available for free to staff members. Please dress appropriately and remember this is an IC thing with IC consequences. (***Please keep attire fitting to the sim, THIS IS NOT THE PLACE for your sexy nurse get up!***) MEDICINE: We are very limited it is almost two years since the outbreak, the shelf life on intravenous drugs should be coming to an end if not already. Please do not give shots or IVs without knowing for sure we have it. We do still have saline for giving fluids in IV's. I am still working on a NC with a list of meds we have. Right now just think of it as having some pain meds in pill form, a few antibiotics, birth control, and other pills for small routine needs. Everything must be used sparingly. BITE VICTIMS: There is NO cure! If someone comes in bit, first see how long they have been on sim, if they are less than a week old IM them and explain that there are TWO outcomes from this, losing a limb (which they need to be able to play the part and at times buy something for the missing limb) or Die! If they go with the amputation please let them know they can not void it in a week when they are tired of walking around with one leg or arm. Always make sure you let the Lead Doctor know we have or had a bite victim. WEAPONS: All AES staff is allowed to be armed when entering the building, as is The Keepers and/or any known law the sim has. This is for the protection of the staff, patients and those staying in the shelter. Citizens are to be stopped by the NPC guard and asked to turn over their weapons BEFORE entering the building. Please know that if someone (staff) is ICly asked not to carry while in the building that is to be played out ICly. The guard does not pat or frisk people unless they have reason. (NOTE: No one allowed to attack the hospital without prior approval from Lead or Admins) BUILDING: Please note that the building is a bit of a mess on the outside, but for now the walls are sturdy, the floors and walls are clean, and when you walk in the smell of bleach and various cleaners is apparent. Please help in RP by keeping the place clean. We can NOT change the build. But ICly there would NOT be blood on the floor, or severed body parts laying about unless you have that in your RP, but please clean up after yourself 😉 PAY DAY: For anyone new, payday is on Sundays you have till the new check comes out to pick up your payout. If you don't pick it up before the next one comes out you lose that one. Also if you start mid week you will not get paid till the next week. At this time I can not explain how the pay works, or how much you make per hour/minute. Just play and have fun best not to worry with those small details. ROSTER: The lead checks the roster often, anyone found with 0 mins. on it will be bumped back to "new hire" at this point you will not be able to buy the medpacks till you come back and regain mins on the roster. This helps stop people from abusing the system. (NOTE: Joining all the groups just to obtain access to commodities is frowned upon, and anyone found doing so risk being removed from rosters and reported to admin) MEDPACKS: These commodities are meant to be used in RP - NOT to be bought in bulk and used for other reasons. Seems these and other commodities on the sim are being mis-used and personally wish that this could be avoided. This is a survival sim after all. Anyone found buying in bulk that is not group lead and/or admin, or is buying them across the sim will be marked inactive on the roster and a report maybe sent to admins. (NOTE: If you are new and can not yet buy the medpacks you can ask another staff member for help) Also, remember you are doing a service here, one you can be paid for. That payment would depend on what you did, and how much you want to charge more info below: —-the Medpacks in the lobby are for the PUBLIC to buy and are expensive. They are for people who do not wish to RP getting medical care and want to buy a quick heal. They cost HUD$240, and they are a MINOR HEAL. —-The Medpacks UPSTAIRS are for sale to REGULAR STAFF ONLY (the bag that sells them will not work for non-staff members). People who aren’t in the group cannot purchase these. They are a MAJOR HEAL (full heal), and are cheaper. Which means that YOU as STAFF can buy them for HUD $40 and resell them at a more expensive price and make a profit. RP giving medical care and charging the patient for the medpack. DO NOT TELL PEOPLE HOW MUCH THEY COST. You can charge them any amount over HUD $40 (up to HUD $240) and KEEP THE DIFFERENCE. CAMPING: I am still getting complaints about people just hanging around the hospital and not RPing, some even wearing their OOC tag. If you go AFK for more than a quick potty or snack break please TP out of the active RP area. Anyone found camping will be TPed home and if it happens more than once you will be removed from the roster and admins will be made aware. IC/OOC CONFLICTS: We are all adults or by the rules per the sim we should be, that being said please keep all conflicts IC, if you have an issue with another player OOC please do the right thing and talk it out or just don't play with them. Seems to be a lot of he said she said going on the sim right now and honestly it is ruining the fun for other players. We all come here to have fun so lets do just that! Ideas and suggestions are welcomed please send them in NC form to your Lead and/or story weavers. ============= N/A
