Meeting Notes:
• All on-duty medical staff, including doctors and nurses, are required to supplied wear scrubs obtainable from lockers in the top floor bunk rooms. Security and shelter staff are permitted to wear plain clothes. These are in-character rules. They do not have to be obeyed, but understand consequences may occur for people who do not follow the dress code.
• AES has many available jobs: doctors, nurses, CNA's, lab techs, orderlies, receptionists, security, and shelter staff.
• AES is currently seeking a new Shelter Staff Director.
• A character's medical experience and credentials do not increase pay.
• A player's activity within the hospital determines promotions. Time spent in the hospital is the leading deciding factor, as well as turning in charts. There is no set number of charts required for a promotion.
• Pre-zombie apocalypse, it would take about 16 years or longer for a person to become a fully certified doctor. Specializing in a field would require more years of training.
• If additional medical staff are needed for a scene, but none are present, and/or if a scene involves actions which may make any player involved uncomfortable, then players may fade to black toward a conclusion. NPCs may also be used to help a scene along, if AES is short handed at the time.
• kaykaystine will continue to personally pay for turning in medical charts. Eventually, a scripted system will be put in place to reward players.
• Jugs of water are no longer free, but may be purchased through kaykaystine at the cost of HUD$120.
• If a patient refuses to give their name, note them down as John or Jane Doe with their avatar name listed as well. For example: Jane Doe (kaykaystine)
• Medicine is in short supply. Be very careful with what is handed out. Use only what is necessary; this may mean withholding local anesthesia for example.
• Medpacks in the lobby are for the public to buy. They are HUD$240 and are a minor heal. Medpacks upstairs are for regular staff only. They are for sale at HUD$40 and are a major heal. Staff may resell these medpacks for a profit. Do not tell people how much they cost. Staff is not required to charge people for the use of these full heal medkits. Trade in items is acceptable as well.
• Camping is not permitted in the hospital as a member of AES staff. Report incidents of camping to kaykaystine or any admin.
• A blood drive is coming up soon.

She takes a few steps out before addressing everyone with a "Hey, and thanks for coming, I know we are all busy but I think it has come time to get together and discus some things going on around here" she would take a deep breath and turn to NPC Nurse Betty "could you please pass out the water please" she gives the NPC Nurse a soft smile and then looks back to the group "First thing I would like to talk about is attire" she pauses and moves the clip board from in front of her "I have noticed that nurses are not wearing their scrubs while on the clock, it is very important that nurse do this, for several reasons" she watches as the NPC Nurse starts to hand out the waters "One reason is we want a sterile environment, when you come in off the street you could have any number of contagions on you, plus it lets patients know who you are when they walk in"

"This means even doctors will be required to wear the scrubs while on duty, or at least the Lab coats over appropriate attire"

And, with a flick of his finger, causes the quarter to begin spinning. And, after watching it continuously spin, flicks the spinning coin as it begins to slow, ensuring it would continue to perform. He would soon glance up towards Kay and provides her most of his attention while continuously ensuring the quarter would continue to spin.

However Icly Kay can not just make anyone a doctor who wants to wear that title/tag - OOC I watch and see who RPs here and who turns in charts, and who seems to have the know how. I have given doctor tags back to people who return to the sim after being away. Please know that being a doctor does not increase your pay, only Managers and Leads make more - this is the end of the world. I cannot check anyones credentials. Even if you manage to produce your medical license and diploma, we don't know you did't kill someone along the way to get it - but please know, no matter what tag you wear you are just as important to the hospital. Everyone is staff here. You will prove your worth and your knowledge with your work --- how if anyone has any ideas about furthering RP here please let me know. We want to keep this fun for everyone and fresh, if you come up with something after the meeting please let me

Its the apocalypse and you make do. Like Kay said, we can't check credentials. So IC'ly work towards being given doctor status. if no one is here, who is stopping you from performing surgery? If you know how to do it, do it. if its gonna save a life, do it. it's field medicine to a higher degree. Make your intentions and desire for a promotion known IC'ly, not OOC in IM's. Work for it.))

If you character would not do something, find someone else. What i'm saying is if you are facing a procedure you don't know how to do (who is a rl doctor here?) you can simply say "performed the surgery" and move along. You don't have to do a step by step of a procedure. You can also say "the npc doctor did the necessary procedure". We've had rape victims in this hospital, we dont necessarily go a perform a pelvic every time. Its up to you and your patient.))

I don't have an additional budget for this. As much as I would like to keep doing it, its financially draining me. Nadir is going to put a charting system in place very soon, and all that will change. I started the bonus system to promote RP and wanting to reward active, contributing RP'rs here. I will personally continue to pay for charts that are turned in until the charting system is in place. It's an important part of RP'ing in the hospital.))

As for food and water for the shelter, we will discuss some options later.))

They are a MAJOR HEAL (full heal), and are cheaper. Which means that YOU as STAFF can buy them for HUD$40 and resell them at a more expensive price and make a profit. RP giving medical care and charging the patient for the medpack. DO NOT TELL PEOPLE HOW MUCH THEY COST. You can charge them any amount over HUD$40 (up to HUD$240) and KEEP THE DIFFERENCE. ))
