michaell hallisonsaidCoach’s Pub TYPE: SLURL: BACKGROUND: -What is currently found on the website: "It was the only local favorite that resided on Main street. Old Coach may have not made it, but thanks to his boarding up and protection his booze did. A drink could help some forget their woes, but once the bottles run dry those that take over will need to get creative" (http://outbreak.sl/proposals/) -How it fell into Jack's hands. "I never was a big drinker, but you don't have to be when you're lining up four horsemen on the bar top. Four will get you a good night's rest. Six and may the God's be on your side." -Jack The girl lingered in the woods on the outskirts of town for weeks, bringing in what she killed and selling what she could. The coin was few, but she was practically drowning in pity. Few coins, plenty of pity, and a pretty face could buy a few pints at Coach's and she frequently did just that. She kept to herself under the previous owner's reign, helping add new shots to the bar book and learning now and then on busy nights for a few extra dollars and a cleared tab. When the virus hit, and took Coach with it, Jack got a craving for something strong and without a chaser. The girl pried the doors open, and did what came naturally. She started pouring, and if there's one thing that can draw survivors it's the promise of cheap whiskey. -Regular Plot Concepts: -Discounts to various factions depending on the night. Emergency service appreciation, Doctor Discount, Rebel Rally, etc. - Neighborhood watch night; a location for community members to meet and discuss issues over a tall pint. Zombie sighting? Robbery? Worse? These nights would be the opportune time to hash out a plan and find folks to help in your endeavors. - Tap Shortage. A scavenger hunt of sorts, lists are given to find specific ingredients and rewards are given accordingly. - Bar room brawls. I'm a sucker for fight clubs, and this is always a fun thing to do. *There of course, would be more. These are just short examples of what comes to the top of my head. -Engaging Employees: -Honest IC rewards for time and work put into making the pub flourish. - Staff events (Scavenger hunts, training, luncheons, etc.) -Engaging Players: - A welcoming environment to experienced as well as new comers. - Everyone needs booze, without booze, there could be no AA meetings. -Engaging other businesses: - Co-oping events (Supplying liquor for someone else's event, working together ICly to host happenings. - Using fellow businesses for IC means (Broken window from a brawl night? Hire the people from S-mart. Drunkards complaining about a lack of snacks? Commission some treats from the dinner, etc.) EXPERIENCE:I have a long list; so I'll key point a few topics. These are experiences shared between a handful of alternate accounts. -Medic lead in Midian City - Vampire co-lead in Obscure Reality - Stark House Lead/ HoK in Westeros Landing - Admin for Westeros Landing -Pawn Shop lead in City of Perdition -Gun runner in CoP -Admin/faction leader for Shady Falls - Queen dowager for RoIF (Realms of Ice and Fire) - Dinner owner in DCC I've been in secondlife for nine years; most of that time has been consumed in roleplay. I love drawing others into a plot if they're struggling to sink their teeth in, and I also love aiding in other's stories without setting focus or precedent on my own. While I am quiet (I've been told cold-fish) at times in IMs, I'll gladly work with anyone on any idea for logical plot driving roleplay. Please post thoughts questions concerns in this thread. Thread is open for approximately 1 week. "Men only have 2 emotions, hungry and horny. If you see one standing without an erection, make him a sandwich" |
