Meet Grayson, a 5 year old Shiba Inu. Trained since puppyhood to be an attack and search dog in the police force. Calm, fearless and hardworking.

On the day of the outbreak, Grayson and his handler were at the front line. The cops were on duty as a local mall served as a quarantine zone for civillians. Rows of people lined up as they were inspected by nurses to see if they showed any signs of the 'flu'. Homeland Security had determined this as a neccessity to deal with the recent pandemic that has swept over the world. The K-9 unit had been deployed to keep the mass of people in check.

People were nervous, anxious about the fact whether or not they turned out to be infected or not. The nurses checked their eyes and conducted a quick blood test. If the test turned out positive, they were moved to a secured area to be contained. Despite the growing tension, it was still manageble.

Suddenly, a scream was heard, followed by the sound of gun shots. The some of the infected people went crazy, for a lack of a better word. Panic swept over the crowd and chaos ensued. Civillians and cops alike were attacked by the infected, who seemed to be immune to getting shot or stabbed or beaten. They just did not go down, unless you hit them right in the head.

Grayson barked and barked, frightened by the undead menace he was facing. His handler emptied a clip on the approaching infected, before being cornered and torn apart. The canine was now by himself, without any guidance to tell him what to do. He didn't want to leave his handler behind, but there was no choice. So the dog ran. And ran some more.

Hours had passed

And then days

Weeks

Grayson's training as a K-9 had enabled him to survive in the new world that followed after the outbreak and his journey into the unknown lead him to Arklay. But his future remains uncertain.

"This was never my story. It's yours. Now, don't screw it up, okay? ."
