So, there's been some talk going around sim about people overcharging for commodities and I wanted to point some things out about this.

There is no wrong doing here. The prices of commodities are set on the vendor and the person selling it/administering it can up-charge whatever they want--regardless of what the group lead says the price is, or even if there is a sign on the wall. Whatever. If a person pays... well, that's on them. Players are allowed to IC'ly make money anyway they want (IC'ly - I don't mean camping or anything like that). If they wanna "con" someone IC'ly, then they can try. If someone gets IC'ly conned, then they did.

This is not an OOC issue, they aren't being charged L$, and if anyone wants to complain they should do it IC'ly to the "owner" or "leader" of the group and they should be ready to point out IC'ly who did it.

And you know what? They can even lie about it IC'ly and point to the wrong person on purpose--Maybe it never happened! As long as its lying IC'ly in dialog it is NOT godmodding! (your narrative should only contain true statements and facts, and if using thoughts, then make sure that untrue statements are stated as an opinion.)

All that IS valid RP, and not cause for OOC grief or complaints.

For example, if someone comes to the diner and a diner employee charges them 100 for a "steak" and someone pays, its on them. They can easily say "fuck that, I ain't paying. I wanna talk to a manager or the owner." I would most definitely deal with my employee IC'ly. If one of Missy's employees wants to over charge me for weed and I pay, then it's on me. I am most certainly free to walk up the DH and call on Missy.

"W-T-F Missy? You got gold flecks in those joints? I didn't ask for that!"

Same goes for the garage and fuel, Hospital and medpacks, or anything else.
