I know there is a great push for groups, or gangs, or to have some kind of conflict and rivalry between the factions. Makes sense. But there's a need to get folks into these factions. I've been here almost a week and I still have no idea IC they exist. Likewise OOC I'm still not sure what sets them all apart much less what purpose they serve.

What about IC active recruitment drives?  There's a leader of the survivors of the Eights I think; why don't they put pen to paper and post signs around town; "newcomers; come here for shelter and information." Likewise for scientists of whatnot "We need your help in finding a cure" blah blah. There could be something regular set up, once a week someone from the faction arranges a meet for their people. To get active current numbers, to get IC ideas, to name potential targets or threats to said faction, and to make their presence known.

Seems in the least the masses of newcomers streaming in need to be brought up to the same speed. Let new residents know what we're up against, info on the virus if anything IS known as opposed to everyone's vague ideas (ARE they attracted to light or is that a myth? Are they attracted to the smell of blood and if so does that mean those on the menses or injured can't be about town or scavenging missions, etc etc), and where folks can stay considering everyone's screaming for a rental/place to live.

I know those of you who have been working behind the scenes and those here since day one are familiar with all the details but the majority of newcomers probably aren't. Yes we can all read guides, but if you want the groups to draw in numbers and have an actual purpose on sim/in stories they need to be more than just words on a page.
