FIRST I would give the place a real name, because it's more friendly-like and that's what a town full of semi-apocalypse survivors needs. More friendly things. I'd call it Brady's Convenience. Or just Brady's. Regardless, the important thing is that there'd be regular events - clothes drives and food drives and, ah, who am I kidding? The events would be more appropriate than that - daily or weekly discounts on items that become more abundant for whatever reason (I'll get into that down below!).

 

Additionally, I'll make the heart of this business revolve around buying and selling anything that you'd call an 'essential'. Or even a 'mild luxury'. There won't be clothes drives, but there'll be weeks where Billy Brady will sell things for cheaper because he has more of them (goshdarnit, nobody's been buying his once-used-but-spotless feminine hygiene pads lately!) and weeks where he'll buy things at a higher price because his stock is running low.

 

Essentially I'd like the store to help create an economy around the things that aren't commodities, so that there can be a realistic flux in supply and demand, and people can get money for the things they find or have which aren't commodities.

 

I'd make new employees feel included by RPing with them and building a little community within the store. Which is to say I'd make it so that new players had someone ICly and OOCly to ask questions of, and seek feedback from. Every time someone joins I'll go out of my way to make sure they have some idea of what the store's about and maybe even some ideas for scenes. I'll also give them plenty of opportunity for initiative, because it's no fun RPing somewhere where you can't help shape the direction the place takes.

EXPERIENCE:I've been RPing for years, but I think what makes me a good leader is that I get excited about things, and I like to make that excitement contagious. But I also know what it feels like to be new to something or some place, or even new to RP in general, and I want to help people get as excited about things as I am.
