"If the apocalypse comes, beep me."

Buffy Summers is your typical southern Californian spoiled brat. She went to private catholic school, lived off Daddy's credit card, and played the stereotypical role of dumb blonde cheerleader.

At least that's what everyone who knew her saw. What they didn't know - could NEVER know - is that Buffy secretly believed the world was going to end in a plague of darkness.

She'd thought it might be vampires, but....it turned out to be zombies instead. Buffy has read every horror comic, graphic novel, and seen every vampire-zombie-alien-end-of-the-world-movie ever made. She taught herself how to make wooden stakes, and secretly practised using them.

So when Z-Day came Buffy wasn't actually as surprised as she should have been. This and only this allowed her to survive the first few hours. Still, she has no REAL survival skills other than an instinct to do whatever it takes to live and is still more dumb blonde than zombie slayer, but that is likely to change if she lives long enough.

Buffy is a survivor, pure and simple. She does anything it takes to survive without qualms and without morals. The mission is what matters, not how she gets there. When the Outbreak happened Buffy was just a high school senior, in the middle of cheerleading practice. By the end of the day she was a dirty, bloody mess with the blood of several of her infected school friends on her hands.

She survived the trip to Arklay by teaming up with Shawn Jones, and the two are a "couple", along with their travelling companion Harlow.

"This was never my story. It's yours. Now, don't screw it up, okay? ."
