The Eights

OVERVIEW: I believe that The Eights should be a very selective and more..... cutthroat kind of situation. With walls comes the power to do more and have more, and I think anyone in this day and time would see that potential there and absolutely want to take advantage. Safety and protection shouldn't be something that's given out for free simply out of kindness. Nothing is free in the post-OB world. You work for what you have. Or don't have it. After you read the part on how I plan to engage new players on the SIM, or ones who sign up for the business, this will make more sense. Either way. After a person moves over from becoming a new hire into a regular, I think it would be fun to have a night of judgment for each new person welcomed into the inner circle of The Eights' family. Each established member could sort of testify for (or against!) a new person and if they have the majority in favor, reap the benefits of being a valued citizen. If the majority DIDN'T rule in favor... well.... My character would be a good fit for leadership because she has been a leader before. Her military background gives her a good grasp on utilizing a "staff" effectively and efficiently but also makes it harder to pull any wool over her eyes. Harder, but not impossible. Nobody is perfect.

EXPERIENCE : I've been an admin, simple moderator, quest leader, player, SIM owner. All of these different roles within the same central thing, role playing as a whole, give me a good view of how every side of the concept works. How they feel about certain things, it's influenced by their main role in a role play. A player might see a story arch one way, as an inconvenience to their own personal story, while an admin or mod might see the long-term possibilities in a little strife. Having been both, I think I would be able to balance interesting story with fun on the players' behalf too. /Just/ the right amount of difficulty that leads to a fulfilling set of RPs rather than frustration.
