Hey guys, so I've recently brought this to a few of you in world, and found we have a few like-minded people here. At the advice of an admin, I'm posting this thread to get a good discussion going amongst the members of outbreak so that all voices are heard here. It's important to me that this idea is well thought out and executed, and at the moment the most important part will be the voices of the users here.

In character Charlie is muling over the idea of opening a farm. This would be purchased land I buy on the WAY back plot outside the fringe. WAY back. The farms purpose would be to take in individuals wanting to build families, existing families, pregnant women, etc. etc. This is meant to be an existing community living directly beside Arklay, but outside of its laws.

The farm itself would like to be able to trade with Arklay, farmed goods (I hope to get those specific to the farm if this gets to a stage where we need them), scavanged goods, and work in town. The biggest controversial part of this is that the farm would be welcoming to infants and children. As I understand it the current response to existing children in the game is a "no", however I'm proposing something regardless. What I'm hoping to get is people behind the idea.

  1. Children would not be permitted outside the actual farm walls. This would be something only allowed on the property, and nowhere else. It would be a strict IC rule, as well as an OOC one, so that there was no awkward crossover for individuals whom play in Arklay.
  2. Roads is meant to be an active, thriving, existing community of individuals whom live off the land, and rely on eachother. They would not fall under keepers, or any other law of Arklay, and would, in fact, have their own law, and way of handling things, and people.
  3. I've heard one person voice their worry about this before, and I'll put it to rest right now. None of this is meant in any way to be any kind of gross or adult aspect on raising children within the outbreak. It's meant to be a downhome, quiet community of people, whom are learning to "remake" their version of normalcy in the world.

My question to you is:

What is your opinion on this? How do you feel about prop children, and RP present children being used within the community? Keep in mind I'm not asking for avatar children to be involved, I do know that might squigg people out. Not that I wouldn't welcome it, if it were included, but I'm not asking for it. I'd like to be able to create a whole community of people actually actively trying to live and thrive and become more than just a ragtag survivor group.

Fade into darkness, as shadows always do when their light goes away.
