OVERVIEW: What is one thing currently lacking in Arklay?... CARBS, glorious precious baked carbs! If you're a carb-lover like me, then you know it sucks to go hunting and get all that meat with no hope of bread for a sandwich or side roll in sight. I mean there's corn, but you can't make a sandwich with two cobs of corn, but you can make CORNBREAD and other BREADS! Here comes Rockin Roll to the rescue.
I plan through RP to gather necessary supplies to make breads, muffins, and other feasible baked goods, sandwiches, and snacks. Nothing terribly fancy since we are limited by available supplies ICly, but with practice staff could get a little more creative with menu options. So you killed a chicken? How about we fry it up for you and create a savory fried sandwich sure to tickle your taste buds? You got lucky and scored some bacon? Let us fry it up and toss it on your sandwich. Mouth watering side of cornbread coming up! Condiments provided as available to take your meal to the next level.

The Eights would be the primary source for corn in order to create cornmeal. I would intend to speak with the owners and management there to see about other grains that may be available ICly should their current gardening project yield other options. Hopefully wheat would be among what they will be able to produce in the future. Maybe there is some growing on the Fringe across the sweeping farmlands or private residences. Grinding and preparation of dried corn and grains would be done by staff. Instructions and recipes would be provided for workers.

Many potential RP situations and odd jobs for other supplies needed: MILK & EGGS - obtained through RP situations and could be obtained from the goats and chickens that roam about in the hunting locations or from residents on the Fringe who may have access to farm stock, or evaporated milk scavenged for around or sought from the mainland (this could look different if either milk and/or eggs become a usable hud-commodity.) SUGAR, SALT, BAKING POWDER, SPICES, CONDIMENTS, ETC. - scavenged for around or sought from the mainland. Whatever Rockin Roll can create will be dictated by what we have at our disposal, creating diverse RP.

Useful services paid for by Rockin Roll owner/management through mutual agreement and depending upon the extent of trouble went to to obtain the items. Those seeking employment would contact me as the owner for an interview. Duties would include food prep, cooking, cleaning, clearing tables, chatting up costumers, and directing side jobs, questions and concerns to me as the owner. For NPC security we have the incredibly handsome and flamingly gay Zack at the door. He and Brynn would quickly become best buds. He would take all weapons from patrons on entry.

One unique thing the diner location has is a fridge/freezer combo. I'd like to see potential to install a generator and/or propane to make the kitchen functional (whether actually or RPly). Otherwise we couldn't really bake, cook, or keep fresh supplies. By having power there would be RP created for installation and repair services with Dixon's and to tap into player skills. Having the fridge/freezer would also allow us to have.. ICE! Not only would we have cold beverages and food storage for dairy and meat, but how long has it been since anyone actually had ice?? Useful not only for cold drinks but for RP situations such as injuries. How many times has someone gotten knocked around and needed to bring down swelling? Potential for individual, business, and medical RP situations.

Many players are avid hunters and Rockin Roll would be a place they could potentially come and sell their cleaned kills. Another hot hud-commodity would be sodas. We would purchase/sell these to and from players. If we had a good inventory going we could even host a soda social. And come to think of it... we'd have dairy so we could potentially churn butter and make cheese. Additionally, if we could find an ice cream maker somehow we could potentially make ice cream. Not often mind you, but how awesome a treat would that be?! Say you came to town and you've found your potential soulmate or possible booty call for the night, but first you need to woo them. What better way than a hot meal, cold beverage, and ice cream? Rockin Roll could become the hottest date destination in town.

EXPERIENCE: My plan is to use RP between staff and residents in order to tap into their knowledge for recipes as well as their skills in obtaining both RP and hud-style commodities. Staff or residents could arrange RP work/jobs to locate certain supplies either around town, through interacting with factions and businesses, or making runs to the mainland.

Rockin Rolls would also participate in community growth through trade, potential joint ventures, and events. The dynamics would create new RP scenarios and allow for character development not only for Brynn, but also for staff, patrons, local business, factions, etc.

Resume: Brynn has been the AES Shelter Director, as well as Counselor, and Nurse. Her storyline has changed course and she currently works and lives at the Eights where she has been putting in manual labor for the gardens there. Being a private owner of Rockin Rolls would be another part of her story and personal development.

My availability is most weeknights in the evening hours EST and also weekends. I would strive to have regular and responsible staff with rotating schedules in order to best cover the needs of the business and keep it engaging. Thank you for your consideration.
