KalisaidI like how we do weather updates and such, but for here, I'd like to see some daily notices--RP prompts perhaps that tell us the status of things also. I think I remember it being said in the beginning that we still have power with occasional outages, and in some places running water. So prompts/messages/updates with blackouts or sporadic power outages--for example "Power Outage from 2-6 pm SLT" It can add to the RP when it suddenly goes off and comes back on. Same with running water. Even after it comes back on, beer is warm or food spoiled, or we need to use candles today or cant' shower. Same goes with news form the mainland. We'd have some, or none? I think I remember it being mentioned that we'd have some. That would add to the panic and chaos and topics of conversation in RP and give players a clearer view of what is happening in the outside world instead of the conflicting stories we get from one another. Those announcements that say "Do not go to San Francisco... the city has been declared condemned. If you were on your way there please find an alternate... " Puts people on the same page. Even weeks ago some were rp'ing coming through deserted towns with no food or water, but I was rp'ing that things weren't so bad in Oakland yet, but they were deteriorating, and with the panic people weren't wanting to to public places like the club where my char worked in, so her bf decided we should get out of the city before it got worse. So between RP and casual conversations with other players I do realize that when it comes to our environment we are not all on the same page.
