Rylie ArringtonsaidAge: 25 Rylie had been the typical college student. Not the best student but certainly not the worst. Simply middle of the road. She was more interested in athletic things than studying. However, she wasn't into traditional sports like soccer or basketball. She was a member of her college's archery team. That is where she succeeded the most. Rylie was one of the best shots on the team and highly valued. This all came in handy for her because she would go on occasional hunting trips with her older brother whenever he'd come to visit from out of state. When everything went to hell, instead of panicking and running out into the streets, she kept her cool. Her college dorm room was well stocked with food and she had her bow and arrows with her for protection. For the first days, she hid out in her dorm room while others raided local stores, fought each other, and generally were killed either by the dead or by another person. After it quieted down outside, that was when Rylie made her move. She stuck to the forests only going near the smallest of towns if the hunting turned out bad. At night she'd take a page out of Katnis' book and sleep in trees to keep herself from being swarmed on the ground in the middle of the night. For the longest time, she kept to herself. Even with the news from passing survivors talking about a place called Arklay that was apparently safe. It was a while before the isolation finally took a toll on her. So, she decided to break her own rule and give Arklay a try. "Normal is nothing more than a cycle on a washing machine." |
