The Coven

FOUNDING MEMBERS: lumpy123, xjadejoliex

OVERVIEW: (This faction will be tied in with a currently ongoing story arc.) The Coven is a group of witches devoted to the worship of the dark god and goddess, who they believe to be the true rulers of the earth and the ones who pushed the plague on humanity. This belief is furthered by their leader, a strange girl with a scarred zombie bite on her arm... the only known person alive with a natural resistance to the virus, who they believe to be the one sent by the divine to help spread the word and cleanse the world. The group has a simplistic membership structure, The leader, the Inquisitors, and the Initiates... who are all brought in to the group by way of a blood ritual. They push for conversion, appearing innocent on the outside to draw in possible members / would be believers, and practice horrific things on the inside to please the god and goddess, including cannibalism, incest, animal and human sacrifice, blood orgies, various ritutals, slavery and, occasionally, necrophilia. Their overall goal isn't control or power like most gangs, they seek enlightenment, and total conversion of the world, which they believe is the only true way of bringing the apocalypse to an end... to become one with it. They believe the one way a person can fully redeem their sins is through infection and death... or if the divine wills is, survival... Naturally, they greatly oppose the research and creation of a cure, and plan to take over the church outside of the town.

POTENTIAL ENEMY: The group will remain generally neutral until such a time as they decide on if someone is worth being friends with or making an enemy of... chances being rare for friendship unless the lead of the other group were to convert to their cause. They'd make a point of targeting anyone who was openly opposing them, seeking to eliminate heresy.

EXPERIENCE:I've been a member of the outbreak community since the beginning and a story weaver for most of that time, have run multiple factions and buisnesses before and generally try my best to engage the community and create content for everyone. Along with that, other then me 2 of the 3 members have been in outbreak since the beginning, lump123 in particular doing mentor work for a while and helping with story arcs / raiders.

IDEAS:Conversion and speeches, we want to bring people in by converting their beliefs to the group's, this will be done with regular preaching in the middle of town, and possibly restarting the pit fights at the palms for those who are 'unworthy', a trial by combat almost.
