The Drop is a recurring story event that will feature from time to time in the sim.

Background

An unknown party with a small aircraft flies over the survival zone, releasing limited packages to a single drop point.  No one knows who the party is - it may be the last remnants of a government or the military, it may be a foreign power, it may be more than one party - although the single engine propeller plane always looks the same.

How It Works

An upcoming drop will be signalled by the thrumming of an airplane engine above Arklay, and a group notice indicating where the next drop point will be.  Any items dropped will be limited and only given to those who show up to the drop point but there may not be enough for everyone.  The drop itself and any items will be given at random by an Outbreak Storyweaver.  But as things get desperate, maybe there will be fighting over the items.

Aftermath of the drop?

It depends how you play it. Maybe someone will get an item you want or need.  Maybe a drop can change the balance of power on the island.  Maybe you'll try and steal it from them.  Maybe there will be a surprise when the drop comes? Maybe nothing will be dropped and the plane will simply shoot off into the distance.  Perhaps someone will try and find out the purpose of the drops and who or what is behind it.  Or maybe someone will try and take out the plane to stop the drops occurring.

Every drop will be random and could be any time. This won't ever show in event schedules and will be initiated by an Outbreak Storyweaver.

"This was never my story. It's yours. Now, don't screw it up, okay? ."
