buffy aurasaidDay 1 A Bi-plane is seen circling the island. Perhaps it is familiar to those who have been here for a while. After a long time of simply circling it moves towards the woods, towards the spot of its first drop where it flies a tight circle waiting for a crowd to gather. Several crates are dropped with gas masks.. Nothing else. Not a note, no explanation, just gas masks 2 Days Later The plane returns circling, gathering every ones attention once more. Once sufficient numbers have gathered tanks of gass begin to be dumped on the unsuspecting citizens. Those wearing gasmasks will be unaffected. Anyone who is in the open or in a building that is not sufficiently protected from open air will experience burning, watery eyes, burning throat, difficulty breathing, and unless they get away from the fumes within a couple of minutes, they will likely fall unconscious or be to groggy to do anything effectively A couple dozen persons in mismatched suits of kevelar/ other military garb and gassmasks move across the bridge with a jeep or two and an old but functioning tank. Likely pretty heavily armed. Anyone still alive will be pressed into gathering everyone else into the town center. – Okay so this is the basic premise for the first day. Dates and time can be switched around as we get closer and we know our own schedules. In the very beginning the soldiers/mercenaries will likely set up shop at the old Deimos building, but they will have a definite presence in town. Soldiers at the bridge, patrolling, breaking up any big groups with force if necessary, patrolling the roof tops presenting the threat that someone is very often watching and ready to plug you if you cause trouble. We will need a couple characters to be role played at various time. At the very minimum we need someone who can represent a captain or spokesman of the group, and then one or two to play soldiers for various regular events to keep people having the sensation that they are indeed under the thumb of a powerful group. Perhaps we can coordinate with various groups and individuals in participating in little events as well .. volunteering to have their business ransacked, volunteering to be “made examples of what will happen if you resist” that sort of thing. So this middle part can be drawn out or shortened as much as we want. Everyone sort of gauge interest in the masses before we start the end game. – Daily updates .. maybe twice daily detailing what has been going on. Listing the grievances that have been caused. The current demands of the soldiers that sort of thing. – For the most part they will allow most to go about their business but they’ll break up any large groups in case anyone is planning things, will be generally assholes throwing their weight around demanding free goods and taking them if not given freely. – Any other ideas for little events to keep the immersion going etc. are more than welcome.
End Game. (around the end of November based on how things go but may end sooner.)
