FOUNDING MEMBERS: Ace Direwytch, Velasaci Vultee

OVERVIEW: The harrowed, according to some old native lore, and it's definition, are the anti heroes. True villains. Those without souls, who bring pain, misery, despair, and ill to the living. For the band, that fits just fine. Soul or not, they are all about bringing every bit of the pain, misery and malcontent they can to everyone else. Unless they like you. Which is almost unheard of. Background wise, the three founding members know each other. Two of them traveled together, and the other was a chance meeting within the walls of Arklay. They all share a few things in common, the least of which is sociopathic tendencies, and cannibalism. Their purpose, is no less the purpose of everyone else. To survive. The difference lies in the way they go about their survival. most will work with others to survive. The harrowed are more inclined to take from others to survive. Though they aren't often going to go about openly showing their faces, instead deceit, trickery, assaults hidden behind masks and other such things lets them not only remain a part of the community they prey on, it also allows them to see who has what for the taking. Some may or may not choose to openly flaunt who they are, but this a frowned on practice, as it could bring unneeded heat to the rest. Those few are usually warned only once before their induction into the fold. Any breach of that tenant, leads to subsequent ostracizing, and possibly being eaten by their peers. So it's no surprise few choose to break that rule. Flaws are numerous. The nature of the harrowed is that of a pack, and any flaws it's members have, become flaws for all. They are weakened by the weakness of the individual, as any group would be. The main flaw of the group, is that they aren't nice people. They don't tend to go to social events, help charities, or little old ladies. They aren't going to be your best man at the wedding, unless they can possibly rob, rape, and eat the bride. They find issues in being normal people. A sociopath, much like any serial killer, only wears a mask to the public. And they can only go so long, until that mask wears thin. So being around people (other players) any length of time, could eventually cause them to act out in a fashion, depending on whatever paranoia, or psychosis they have. A sociopath will start to get agitated and even mean over time. Another flaw is that the group simply cannot function beside society. The group itself cannot wage it's activities in full view of everyone else. They can't go on social outings to the local pub. Well, they can, but only under a guise. Their biggest flaw, is they need secrecy. Remaining anonymous to others as to who their real identities are while on runs into town. They have to live a double life per se. As for aligning..that could be varied. They would ally with anyone from the ATC, to a pawnshop. Anyone they could use to pilfer off their goods from raids, and in turn wouldn't ask too many questions. Most likely, it would have to be a sort of pawn shop, as they could get rid of pretty much anything they manage to steal, take or threaten away from others. Barring that, they'd work with many, but not many would want to have that known openly I am sure.

POTENTIAL ENEMY: Allies; Currently none. But potential allies could be the ATC. They seem the most like minded of the bands, and they have the means to get weapons, which the Harrowed would admire, and find a need for. Allies are made on a basis of who is useful to them or not. Enemies; Currently none, but potentially everyone and anyone.

EXPERIENCE:I'm committed, a die hard roleplayer with years of experience. Charismatic, and trained to be a leader. I emphasize people over characters. I want my people, those around me, or under my banner to enjoy themselves, and I always make myself available, and open for them should they need it. I like to think I'm easily approachable, aside from being a heavy jokester. I have spent years, both on and off SL leading others, be it in factions on SL sims, of which i can give the names of both factions and the sims, and other places. Guilds on WoW, EQ, you name it. Outside of SL, and roleplay, I've held many leadership, and supervisor jobs in general. The last at eBay, my role was to bring multiple people together under one roof to work as a unified team on a daily basis.

IDEAS:For new players, as I normally do, I'll be all over tossing them an IM, welcoming them to the sim, and seeking to greet them out of character. It's imperative new people feel like they are important, like they do matter. In character, i may try to oocly set up a bit of roleplay from them, from just shooting the shit, helping them meet other characters if possible, to random shenanigans just to get them involved. As a band, we would seek with their consent, to possibly harass, or amuse them with any of the antics that comes from a group of mentally unstable people. Those who sign up for the band get the same treatment oocly. Every account has a person behind it. It's important to me to make sure they know they are seen as a person. You'd be surprised how that can better someones perspective on a sim and their day. Icly, they'll go through a watching phase. (perhaps just a few posts of roleplay, depending on the player's willingness to roleplay out a length of time) being watched by undercover members of the band, and eventually approached by one of the Fiends (the Harrowed's name for it's defacto leadership)to gauge their intentions. For both, I'll be pushing on the Harrowed to make weekly raids (if not more), attacks or assaults, and speaking with others oocly to find who's interested, in the mood, or what should be done each week. I can't state for certain what will be done each time, as it very much relies on the interest of not only the Harrowed for each task undertaken, but the community around us as well. I dont want things to grow stale and overused

There is a beast in man that should be exercised, not exorcised.
