buffy aurasaidThe Peckerwood Society FOUNDING MEMBERS: raoskeizer.resident, xjadejoliex.resident OVERVIEW: The Peckerwood Society (or the Peckerwoods), are a group of hunters and backwoods rednecks, founded by the Brookes family and a few others that they have brought in since coming to Arklay. With a large lack of morals, they will do anything to look out for each other and make sure they all make it to the next day... anything, ranging from scavenging/hunting parties to flat out raiding other groups for what little supplies they may posses. A very 'take no shit' group of people, their biggest flaw has to be the fact that they are very wary of other groups and not very bright, making a lovely little combination for a full out fight to take place - or hunting someone down across the island that they believe might be a scout for someone else (its already happened once)... For a buisness they'd align with, I would think coaches, purely because it is one of the only reliable sources of alcohol left in existence (the Brookes more or less grew up on moonshine). POTENTIAL ENEMY: Generally... anyone has a pretty good chance of becoming an enemy, or more then likely a target. The group is very internally focused and untrusting of others, while there is a chance to ally up with other groups - said alliance would probably be a very unstable and short lived one, they care about themselves and the ones they bring in alone, there is no room for other people. EXPERIENCE:I've run the Outbreak Diner previously (there were a lot of RL instabilities at the time that resulted in moving and losing internet.. which is why I had to give up the position, all solved!), I've run a faction in Insilico back when it had a community, and I'm the current lead of the Jade Dragon in Dead End. I like to keep very active and make sure things run smoothly... OOCly at least, need to have a little bit of IC drama to make things good :P. IDEAS:Generally I already try my best to engage new players into the SIM, from experience I can say there's nothing to get someone into a RP quite like an interesting hook! The same with groups - as the Peckerwoods begin to bring in more people we will start having sort of initiations.. to get people to prove their loyalty. Initiations will be different for everyone and will often include some sort of theft or violence. We're hoping to bring a more unfriendly group to Outbreak to stir a little chaos here and there, and give people a reason to start protecting their stuff and guarding their campsites, hopefully opening a lot of doors for a good storyline! 😀 "This was never my story.
