The Walking Thread(working title)
By Delina Lubezki

TYPE: Business

SLURL:

OVERVIEW: The Walking Thread is geared to be a highly rp active element for Arklay. Establishing a tailor/clothier for the town to repair survival clothing, make tents and other tarps, thick padded armor to protect from bites, anything citizens need to help them survive, keeping them clothed, warm, and dry. As for event wise, could possibly have seasonal changes/storms where the tailor becomes a vital piece, add an element to the HUD that accounts for weather/hypothermia in some way? Having a tailor establish could have that extra immersion added to the sim, more things to worry about in survival. As for employees, it would be a community effort. As not only do you need those that can sew and stitch, but you need hunters as well, to collect skins, tan and prep them for use, scavengers to find older clothes that could still be used, cleaners to clean and keep the communities clothes they already have clean and in top repair, make shop/terry towels from scraps for the mechanics and the bar. In an normal setting, a clothing shop really only needs retail associates. In an a post-apoc world, that shop has to gather the materials, create the clothing, repair and clean the clothing, and supply the town. Multiple positions and roleplay opportunities created for multiple characters, even those that aren't skilled tailors, as we need the hunters and scavengers as well. This would also promote store to store interactionm where the hunter and gathering shop that sells the meat send the skins they collect to the tailor. As far as management goes, it would be a co-operated process, my character, and Penelope Ryan's. She would certainly be more of a facilitator then an antagonist in the roleplay, doing what she can to better the town, help the others, but ensure she has enough to survive.

EXPERIENCE: I have ran and operated multiple groups in various sims and settings, established roles and guidelines to help that group function, both IC and OOC ways. I've also ran and operated many businesses on various sims, such as clubs/bars in Crack Den, brothels in fantasy sims, libraries, opium dens. I also have experience in building and operating RP sims from the ground up, having once built and co-operated a homestead based fantasy/steampunk themed sim. With all of these I also have Admin and Mentoring experience, able to help new players, brainstorm on new simwide rp events and the like, also have some experience in managing blogs/website for a roleplay sim.
