Voltaire is an average joe, son to a couple with a brief military background--both his mother, and father. Much to their dismay, he was more interested in forests, vegetation, and the like. Due to his parents vowing at his birth to support him, he was sent to a relative of his, one who lived in a lush, rural area. Left to what was taught to him, along with rather practical fighting skills, he was forced to make sacrifices to survive, some of which he regrets, others are the reason he breathes to this very moment.

Carrying an axe and a crossbow, he represents the Howlers, the criminal aspect in a lawless land. The Axeman made sure to hide his howler identity as an informant/errand tendant. Making several acquaintances, he struggles to keep the secret behind the mask and combat sweater he would wear.

So basically, Voltaire is an eager 19-year-old art graduate, with the desire to defy everything. He wasn't a natural rebel, but recently, he grew to like it. The young artist was not an only child. He was the median of three siblings; his elder brother possibly roaming Arklay. Or possibly was axe-bait.

((Character development is in progress, actually. He has yet to settle his moral compass, so the character is most probably gonna advance a lot.))
