Easter brings the new hope of the miraculous resurrection, but as with all things worldly, the pure is corrupted. I have to say it is more than a little ironic as my parishioners disappear to wonder if my Easter Mass might not find the pews filled with the living dead a mock mass of walkers. I suppose such maudlin thinking is not helpful. No instead I will say that we that brave this crucible with faith, and those that rise out of the ash will be stronger and more resilient. Soldier on! I will do a subdued toned down mass on Easter, instead of a full high mass. I am sure the Lord will forgive me. It may just be a few of us anyway, Sister Theresa, myself and the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. I suppose that is enough company for us.
