Wow my handwriting is awful.. it’s been so long since I’ve had a pen and paper
I’m in Jet’s apartment, the landlord here at Eights soup kitchen. It’s quite small but sure beats the woods. It’s so weird actually being in a town or settlement of some kind, with community and laws and ways of doing things… culture!
It’s also kinda scary though. I got scared when they wanted to ‘quarantine’ me. Everything was going swell really, I mean I was given food, applied for a job (still haven’t heard back from the diner whether I officially got a place) and met some nice people, then suddenly I was with lots of people (lots of people being three by the way, that’s a lot nowadays) talking about quarantining me and I just panicked! But it’s okay because this nice girl (I think she works at Eights, didn’t catch her name but I’d definitely recognise her again.. might say hi) said she was new-ish too and she’d been quarantined and it was fine. I don’t have to go to hospital either. This nice girl called Rogue just took a blood sample to the hospital, so yay. I feel better about that because tests freak me out a bit, remind me of when everything first happened… I guess I’m just being precious about the whole thing. I should relax.
But I can’t deny that this place gives me chills. This other lady called Amy warned me about the outskirts of town and I heard this man talking about the police being “pig”-like and yeah, bit freaked out. But I feel pretty safe here, all cosied up in Jet’s flat. Or apartment, whatever. Let’s just hope I don’t have this virus everyone’s crapping themselves about. Rogue didn’t mention any symptoms.
Feel a bit achy but I think it’s because I’ve been sitting around a lot. Coughing a bit. Not used to indoor air. Haha that’s weird. I dunno I guess I’ll let Rogue know when she comes in to check on me. I hope she comes round later, I’ve drank my water and I only got a corn left. I’m gonna sleep now. Gotta headache.
