I don’t understand fucking people.  I just don’t.  More than once I’ve wanted to leave this town but I keep finding reason to stay.  Not reasons, excuses.  I want the security of a town, I want to live in a community with people, I want people to sit at my tables and eat and smile and feel safe.

If I get sick, I want someone to keep me alive.  Thing is, part of what makes Arklay so valuable is the fact that it has a hospital.  Fuck knows it saved my life more than once, and it’s the one thing we should protect with everything we fucking got.  Wanna steal my can of cat food? Go right ahead.  But don’t fuck with the one thing that has kept us alive and thriving.  If we’d done that we’d still have the serum.

So, this guy comes to the hospital with intention to rob it, shoots a doctor, tries to shoot another, ends up shot in the process and people sympathize with him?  Never mind that if we want to survive doctors are needed, never mind that we should be looking to protect what medicine we have, looking to make more, and some asshole comes to rob it and gets shot in the process and it’s like ‘aw poor guy!”  What about the doctor he shot?  What about the fact that he’s a fucking thief?  That he could have just come to the hospital for treatment and gotten it ‘cause fuck knows that Kay will treat fucking ANYONE.  No, she ends up with a gun pointed to her head.

What the fuck is wrong with people?  When did armed robbery become a cool thing?  When did we forget how to be fuckin’ human to each other?

I don’t know how half these people made it here anyway, or why they stay.  Maybe the blood on their hands isn’t only from infected – gods know mine isn’t.  When the Keepers were around all you’d hear is this “fuck da police” bullshit, like everyone in this town was some badass criminal before the shit hit the fan.  Not a single nerd among them–except for Paul who made a living off YouTube, not a housewife, not a fucking teacher.  Tah, Paul, nor any Keeper made a single fucking arrest.  Never shot a single fucking person.  Nope.  But all we heard was people talk shit about the Keepers.  Never fucking mind that the whole “fuck da police” sentiment is stupid and null now.  Nobody cares if you are a whore, if you smoke weed, if you pop pills or live drunk, so long as you don’t hurt anyone and respect other people’s shit.

Can’t do that?  Fuck all, go live in the fucking woods.  You can’t sit with us.
