Hello my sweethearts, so I went into this town, Arklay, it’s actually an island. It seems safe enough, the infected still get within the land, but so far its nothing to be concerned about, they are easily fended off. Most of the places I have been through were not safety zones, and I have been shot, stabbed, or just beaten for what little I had on me at the time. There seems to be more of a community here and I spent some time with a store clerk named Baymo. A couple others stopped in while I was there, but the interaction was not as extensive, but they do seem to be more congeneil, conginial, I don’t know how to spell that!… They seem more personable, considering the way the world is now.

Oh, I have applied for some employment at the store as well, it looks promising and I’m down to my last few dollars, food and ammo, maybe luck is still alive… Today I will try to meet the owner and maybe get settled in, this could turn out to be more long term then anticipated.

I miss you both…

PS: I have heard of raiders here, but have not experienced any as of yet.
