I grew up on a farm with my younger sister, our father taught us how to hunt, fish and grow crops and showed us basic fighting skills to discourage any unruly boyfriends. I got a job out of high school at a local newspaper writing advice columns, whereas my sister went off to college to earn a degree. Her job took her out of state and we were separated for the first time in our lives. Since the Outbreak, I had been searching for her, joining up with small groups of people until I heard someone say her name. I went out on my own with the little knowledge I had of her whereabouts and was finally reunited with her when I happened across Arklay Island. Now we are surviving, together.
