If one of my guys had come up sick for drinking the water in-country I would have article 15ed his ass for such a bone head, dumb ass move, so what do I do?  I drank some water in the woods.  I can hear those guys under me laughing, if any are still alive. Anyway, we were in a bad way coming to Arklay, Erin and me. Low on everything, exhausted, run out and run down, I screwed up. We didn’t have our filtration and boiling up and running at the first camp. The water was running siftly over rocks and looked clean. All those times I got on to my guys about being careful what they drank and ate overseas, and I just lapped up a big ol’ helping of trouble.  Thank God for that doctor at the hospital. He took care of me. Took a big bite out of my pay check, but I got the meds. I sure to hell hope it was enough. Oh well, embrace suck and move on.
