As the outgoing owner of Coach’s I can verify that Kitten has been an excellent manager and that while I’ve been away (for quite some time at this point) she has essentially been running it on her own. Prior to that she has always worked well with me and others to promote RP in the pub. I support this proposal!

Several businesses offer rewards for odd jobs. For example, at the pub we pay non-staff for things like cleaning or bringing firewood. Perhaps the soup kitchen could work with businesses to link people with odd jobs, thereby earning their items without having to pay whilst also not undercutting anyone’s sales.

It should be noted that the ATC is not the only source for guns. In fact up until recently almost all gun sales went through the S-Mart Hardware Store. Now it’s split between the two.

To me that’s a positive. I like that this faction would have to work its way up just like any other. And if it’s successful then it can work to influence the political side of things itself. All through RP.

I share the above concerns, both with the faction as proposed and what we know so far about the story arc. I think that allowing certain main player characters to have traits and abilities unavailable to everyone else is dodgy ground. And this is just my personal opinion, but to my mind the theme of the faction and story arc don’t fit especially…[Read more]

As in, are you proposing any kind of abilities beyond those of a normal person or is this simply something members see themselves as? Also the group doesn’t want power, but seeks to convert everyone. How does that take shape in RP?

Agreed. The system doesn’t deal well with hospital staffing levels being as low as they currently are. It also doesn’t allow well for characters who might have a reason why they cannot or will not go to the hospital (I have come across more than one). Too many RP sims have ground to a halt with players saying they’re bored with a lack of compelling storylines, while simultaneously resisting anything that might mean their character coming to harm or having a bruised ego. Zombie apocalypse Farmville isn’t fun.

I’m all for this. A lot of us hunt and there’s nothing currently in place around it so this could add to the RP for sure.

I think this is a good idea since you’re right, a lot of people hunt but not a lot of people roleplay hunting, so maybe this would help.
