I can say that a vote for Abel, is about the only sure vote you can cast this election season! He is dedicated, active, and a hard worker… the only option as the new ATC lead 🙂

It is with a heavy heart, I am resigning as lead of ATC.
I want to personally thank some amazing friends and roleplayers with whom I have been blessed to interact, build amazing scenes and solid long-term play, and just stay the path through many highs and lows… Candyman, Missy, Lara, Peaches, Paul, Abel, among so many others.
It has…[Read more]
I actually miss the Rebels being active. Right now we are stuck NPCing them. I see them as a natural part of any apocalyptic world, and hence the Keepers. I look forward to the day when the man-made internal conflicts by groups such as the Rebels, Raiders, Keepers… return. The excitement is missing, and these such conflicts drive some great rp.

Not sure about any of the IC issues between Abel and Peaches, but…
What I do know is that Peaches is a very active and involved OB roleplayer. She has always taken time to be inclusive of others in her play, and dedicated to making sure people had a place to catch their breath, chat a bit, and get hammered (lol).
This is a wonderful idea.…[Read more]
So is this proposing that “The Eights” become a formal business? Or like a group (ie Rebels, Keepers, etc). Sorry, I haven’t had my coffee yet, but just trying to understand the proposal.
I started down this path when cooking at the Diner. Cornbreads, steak bacons, chocolate drizzled filets, honey hams, fish tacos… utilizing the corns, fish, meats, honey, chocolates, and such. It’s a doable idea for sure, keeping it realistic and oftentimes a little ‘off’ because of the limited / re-purposed items available.
It would in…[Read more]
I like it… very appropriate and realistic for all of the reasons. Also if we got crafting integrated into the HUD, it could promote all sorts of herbal and natural concoctions from grown/scavenged items. It makes total sense, and I know others had been thinking along these lines too.
The rain’s back and (if your comp can handle it) isn’t it beautiful!
I would vote that an actual building is designated a “Town Hall” for rp purposes. It seems like any accumulation of people (even us woe-some survivors) would have some common ‘government’ area to conduct official town business, deal with disputes, submit stuff for review, etc. It could even go deeper, rp-wise, that you submit your blog b…[Read more]

The scale shows how much relative worth it has on your health (for food/water) commodities, and for weapon ‘effectiveness’ (for weapons). I played around with different foods to see how much it would affect it exactly, for one example. I would let my food run out, then try each food commodity to see it’s effect. The symbols are a ge…[Read more]

Anything come of this? Not to rehash, but I can see the pros and cons of limiting it to business owners (or managers). One of such a position may have more “skin in the game” that the town holds together as that in some way for personal economic reasons if nothing else.
A Town Hall? I saw take one of the vacant buildings and making it…[Read more]
Silvy is very focused, very thorough, and very creative in her roleplay. She has some amazing ideas, in creatively and realistically weaving the Garage into the community of Arklay. I fully support her promotion to lead, and look forward to all the Garage has to offer.
I genuinely like the idea. I do know Suki (The Rag) is always hard at work capturing stories and archiving things through the paper… but that may just be a part of the Arklay history books. She might have some great input.
I think the empty business beside the Diner is ideal. It’s secure inside the fences of downtown, is close to the Rag an…[Read more]
I appreciate any feedback as well, and will have a more focused plan moving forward. Through my experience interacting with citizens both as a cook at the Diner for a couple months, and helping out at ATC for a month, it is most important that the leader needs to be accessible and active. There is a careful balance between that and being o…[Read more]
I like the idea. As a cook at the Diner, it seems more legit to trade / purchase fresh meet from a RP group. I asked that question when I first joined, as to where did the meat come from. Everyone pointed at the magical flaming barrel.
Only a neutral faction could bridge the gap of trading meats, goods, even water… with the potential to be…[Read more]
While I embrace the concept of a sort of boost to help new players become integrated into the RP early and not die of dehydration…
From my personal experience (like 2 weeks old maybe), I checked several times at The Shelter and was never able to receive anything. Amanda and workers at the hospital, Tina, and Candy (to name a few) were kind…[Read more]

All of the suggested water sources should be available, and people would be willing to risk illness at times just to not be dehydrated. The %risk factor would be huge with all of this roleplay… from perhaps everything you eat besides canned goods?
As said, you could get what you gather distilled at a cost which may be worthwhile to a…[Read more]
I think water needs to be controlled as suggested, very realistic. Ground / sea water could be contaminated from infected materials leaching into the soil, etc.
I like best the rain idea, with a twist.
A person would have to acquire the items to make a water collection system for themselves (ie. parts from the Hardware Store, salvaged items, e…[Read more]
