I'd love to see fishing implemented on the sim.  We have docks, and all sorts of access to water and it seems like it could be a great way to score some fish.

Though I run the ATC and I love that people come buy fish from me... I think it could be a great idea to offer fishing in one or two locations around the sim.  Personally I'd love to see the ability to fish offered on the docks near the ATC for the fact that it could give staff there something more to physically do, but it could also bring other folks down to the waters.

Maybe other items could be added to the waters for folks to fish up too.  It just seems like it'd be a nice and fitting activity to add to the sim.  Rather than just walking up to a pile of garbage and shuffling it around for a few moments to produce something.

If anyone else has anything they'd like to add to this suggestion please do!  I'm hoping everyone that has talked about wanting fishing will add their two cents in as well, since this is most certainly not just my idea.  I'm just the one bringing it to the forum hoping to get something started with it.
