dannika drykesaidArklay Firearms TYPE: Business SLURL: http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Outbreak/96/118/35 OVERVIEW: (Taking off from Arklay Gun Runners) I'd like to start the business off small, one person running shop, one person running crate trade and two people running guns from a hidden/unknown IC location. Selling Hud-arms in store as well as crate trade to security groups and maybe some anonymous, under-the-table deals with bandit groups (Ammunition will not be sold by Arklay Firearms, the ammunition trade will be left with the ATC Trading Post). The business & employee's would be self-centred, guided and fixated upon the power of weaponry and self gain. The crew should remain loyal to each other and the business, weeding out any pessimistic and unruly members. After all, some altercations could take place should certain business owners and security groups find out something IC'ly about some possible shady dealings. Eventually the business would grow larger, maybe even more powerful or less so depending on which way the odds favoured. Surely soon enough the so called "hidden/unknown gun supply location" would turn up dry, there would be NO magical portal where firearms just kept appearing! And resulting in more members needing to be sent beyond Arklay to scavenge deserted buildings and vehicles. Maybe even murder a few passing groups that were reaching the outskirts of Arklay, to swipe their gear all for the effort of making a buck. Regular events would include trade deals set on certain days, we can't expect people to be trafficking crates 24/7, so possibly once a week would be the setting. To make new employee's feel included the crew would help train the new comer in the arts of firearms, all members will be required to undergo training in how to wield a gun skilfully and accurately (Safety is to the gun-holders discretion, we don't mind tossing your body out the back as biter chow should you cap yourself!) For ones that know how, prior to being hired, they will be observed. Members will be trained in the arts of negotiation, wheeling & dealing, and more or less being firm when at a stand still or checkmated negotiation (MORE! Everything has a price and nothing is free!). Gun retrieving will be taken in turn, giving members the option to not only run weapons, but also pitch trade deals and interact with in-store trading. All trade group deals will be signed off by myself, no deals are to be granted without the managers signature, this allows members to pitch a deal to a potential buyer and for myself to oversee the finalization of it. (Now some deals members make, the manager may not agree with. It will be at the managers discretion to either flip the deal or sweeten it!). Good deals are left with praises upon members, gifts and possibly IC promotions, where bad deals can result in disciplinary actions! Therion is a fighter, strong willed and standing tall. But like all people, he has his flaws. Therion can be a brute, dismissive and mean tempered (Not to mention he is in love with a little woman of Arklay). Therion grew up with a military based Father and was often taken to gun ranges and trained with various firearms while his Father was in port. Therion would make great management to Arklay Firearms as he has a lot of knowledge to share with his personnel and will be loyal towards his crew members. Strengthening their weaknesses, building their courage, teaching them to stand for their fellow members and the business and breaking them down when they screw up. EXPERIENCE: I used to say that if I was ever offered a leadership roll I would turn it down straight away. Too much work, too much hassle, too much stress. As the years grew on, I found myself wanting to take on that responsibility and lead people on to bigger and better things. My head has filled with suggestions, plans and training to flourish a business, and I've been striving and pushing for a management position in my real life job now for a quite a few months and in all honesty it looks like it is paying off! I would incorporate my real life leadership ambitions in to my roleplay leadership ambitions and put in the work to represent a successful business. I postpone death by living, by suffering, by error, by risking, by giving, by losing. ~Anais Nin |
