Some days ago I was sitting at around $3,000.00 Outbreak HUD money.

A friend of mine tried their HUD attack feature on me, and I defeated them, clicking the "fight to win" option.

I include the link and screenshot to remove any doubts as to the authenticity of my claim.  However I am not seeking compensation, despite the fact that my HUD was reset to a balance of -TWO ($2.00)  DOLLARS- the next time I logged in.

At first I thought "Oh that's odd.." and reset my hud. It did not work..

Now mind you, it didn't take away my ammo, just the money, so the hud wasn't reset to default, and still seemed to know me.

Next step. Try a new HUD!!

Did it! It retrieved my stats/ammo whatever from the database/whatever, but still no money!!!

After contacting a moderator (Kali) I was told this was a known problem that was being addressed, or would be. I got the impression nothing could be done for my problem right now, but that it was an ongoing and known issue.

I dropped it and left it at that. I had the idea to RP being robbed, or waking up robbed, so my character's sudden lack of funding could be explained, but dismissed this idea, as it really would have felt forced.  My character pays for food and water for several folks in the sim who can't really manage themselves because of OOC time constraints and so on, so this -did- actually impact my RP significantly. Nobody could come to me for help anymore. My character could no longer be a big spender and buy a round of shots as he might do.

Still, I just let it go and pretended to still have money until I could gather a paycheck and resume my story line with the appropriate commodities and finances in place.

Now however, I'm told by a friend that some one did they same thing to them, a 'test' fight of sorts, and they lost all their cash despite winning the fight as well!

I'm not whining for my cash back here, so I hope nothing came across that way, in fact I'm already profiting again.

However NOBODY KNOWS ABOUT THIS! This may still occur and other people might be shit out of luck the way I was!

What if you have RP set up to buy your wife back from raiders? What if you NEED that money. Not to mention we actually -do- need to buy food and water in order to effectively participate in this sim's commodity-driven market.

Whether or not this report helps fix anything, I cannot say, but I am posting it to make people aware that this has happened twice now, both for the sake of the mod team AND the player base. (Also I was asked to, since more similar problems have occurred.)
