So the town is called Arklay.  The people are pretty friendly, considering.  Not so friendly that I suspect they want  to butcher me for meat, but friendly enough.  Just people living day to day, but they’re in a pretty defensible place so they can afford to be at least civil to other survivors.  I’ve even been given a job.  Because of my medical background, they’ve offered me a place at the hospital.  They promise to pay me, but honestly I’m happy just having a safe place to sleep, so maybe I’ll stay a while.

There are infected here.  I saw one, just a kid shambling around and gave him a wide berth.  Someone else can deal with it.  I’m out of ammo anyway.
